Where the Rubber Meets the Road?

As our customers tell us (and as we know from cycling ourselves) there are numerous reasons for biking. Such reasons may include the absurd, sublime, frivolous, commendable, rational, poetic and pragmatic. Specific reasons may include saving time and money, staying healthy, fascination with technology, wanting to do our part for a livable community, and our children's future.

We may even find that taking up biking shall serve as a catalyst for achieving another breakthrough for humankind. "I thought of it while riding my bicycle", said Albert Einstein of the Theory of Relativity. We are eagerly awaiting the day when we can look back and learn how global warming was reversed: "I thought of it while riding my bicycle".

Be that all as it may, consistent cyclists overwhelmingly express that bicycling is their preferred way of moving about. They find gliding along on a bicycle exceptionally enjoyable, fun, relaxing, and satisfying. Cycling boosts our spirits, and makes us feel good. Even in the face of traffic, hills, rain, and potholes our bike ride is a highlight, and is assuredly so also among those who describe their lives as rich and accomplished.

Why not give yourself a chance to find out? Buy a good bike or get your old bike tuned up. And definitely a helmet. Fit the bike with a supportive seat, adjust the handle bar to a comfortable position and add as needed rear rack, fenders, lights, basket, bag or pannier. Pick up a bicycling map of your area and venture out.
