Company Policy

General

Our company has sold over 4,000 electric bikes on a one-to-one basis and remain committed to working diligently with each and every new customer to select the bike that may work for him or her. We encourage prospective customers to avail themselves in particular of the extensive information on our web site. All our sales people ride electric and folding bikes themselves. We aim to provide a non-pressure sales environment. While it is not for us to presume what a customer may want we do express our concerns if the intended individual application appears doubtful. Our service departments are set up to handle warranty, service and repairs promptly for our own bike customers whether the customer is near one of our stores or not.

Test Rides

We reserve the right to refuse test rides without providing a reason. A rider needs to leave ID in the store, and is required to sign a release form. As per state law (RCW 46.04) a rider must be minimum 16 years of age, and wear a helmet (we lend you one). The rider is responsible for any damage to the demo bike or any other damage caused.

Pricing

We offer highly competitive every day prices and provide strong service and support. We venture this assertion based on a just about 100% customer satisfaction rate (for the makes/models we currently carry). You may of course ask for an even lower price but ours is a low margin business and we are biased in favor of staying in business. We labor under the quaint notion of treating all our customers the same and offer no specials, sales or rebates beyond 5% off on a second bike purchased.

Payment

We accept cash, major credit cards, and personal local checks with valid ID.

Privacy

We ask for your phone number as it may prove helpful for the companies who ship for us to assure safe and timely delivery. Whether your bike is shipped or picked up in a store our manufacturers require that we record an address including email or phone number in case of a warranty claim or recall. We never provide your contact information to anyone else. You shall not even receive a newsletter

Warranty

Specific warranties differ but typically cover parts over twelve months to several years.

Service and Repairs

Our focus is on assuring first class, prompt service for our own customers. We operate a full service department in Seattle WA since 1996, which is equally competent in handling bicycle as electric drive system work. Our Oceanside CA store's service capabilities are currently being expanded.

Shipping

Bikes are packed with great care to minimize shipping damage, which has been rather rare over the years. Please note that in order to consider a damage claim the shipping companies absolutely require that the receiver (= bike customer) notes any damage immediately on actual delivery, retains the original packaging and promptly files a claim. The quoted freight rates include insurance. Regret but we cannot be responsible for shipping damage or delay.

Returns

We'll gladly expend any reasonable amount of time and effort to assist the customer in making the right choice for him or her. If you need to talk to us several times about a purchase please do. If you need to test ride several bikes several times you are welcome to do so. Ours is a non-pressure sales environment. If we have reservations about your prospective purchase you have our promise that we'll say so. In view of this we do not subsequently accept the return of a product beyond what may be stipulated in the specific manufacturer's warranty.
